This bestselling French rosé brand in the UK has been consistently rated amongst the best rosé winemakers in the world and will now be investing seriously into the Japan market to achieve similar results. Arcane, as a leading importer and marketeer of wine in Japan, is the perfect partner for this pursuit.

Maison Mirabeau was founded by British couple Stephen and Jeany Cronk, who realised a dream in 2010 after selling their London home, uplifting their family and risking it all to move to Provence and create rosé wines for people to enjoy. Mirabeau combines fresh ideas in winemaking with a mindful approach and a deep respect for the heritage and culture of Provence, where the family has settled. In 2019 Maison Mirabeau acquired Domaine Mirabeau which is in conversion to organic and nestled in the nature reserve on the foothills of the Plain of the Maure mountains, not far from St Tropez. Embracing ambitious farming practices and wine making techniques, the become a purpose-driven company, and seeking to be achieve their B Corp accreditation in 2022.

Stephen Cronk, founder of Mirabeau, is thrilled to be marking a new chapter in the Japan market with Arcane: “We are delighted to be partnering with Arcane and making our debut in the Japanese market with our award winning rosé wines. Crafted from some of the  highest quality vineyards in the region, we focus on creating delectable, dry rosé wines and gin, with our range of rosé wines being a perfect partner to a vast assortment of foods and  diverse enough to be served at any occasion. Working with Arcane, we are excited to deliver the sunshine and taste of our beautiful region to Japanese consumers.”

Founded in 1980, as a pioneer, Arcane Limited have imported and supplied gastronomic food and wines from selected partners across Europe over the past 40 years. They deliver carefully selected quality products to chefs, sommeliers, patissiers and consumers all over Japan communicating the joy and excitement of food and world cuisine. They continue to select and develop authentic global partners to satisfy the needs of their professional customers and to match the ever changing lifestyles of Japanese consumers.

Keisuke Itoh, General Manager of Arcane Wine Sales Department says: “We believe in the potential of rosé wines, especially Mirabeau, not only its sales but also its influence to change wine consumption trends in our market. Still today, wine is considered as a drink for special occasions, for special people, and it is believed that we should learn a lot of things to appreciate properly the quality of wines. We believe this mentality limits our wine consumption per capita which is only around 4 bottles per year today. We should change it! Fine wine is not easy to produce, but it should be easy to appreciate. It makes our life pleasant, relaxing and beautiful, anytime, anywhere! And Rosé is the best color to realize it. With Mirabeau we are excited to contribute something new to the Japanese wine market, especially as now is the best moment to launch because people really need something to make their life happier under this very difficult and instable moment globally.”
