Nimbility’s team of market and brand building experts will be out in full force at this year’s inaugural Vinexpo Shanghai in October 2019, showcasing a carefully curated selection of our premium wine and spirits brands.
With a design that will set it apart from the rest, the Nimbility Pavilion will feature a wine and spirits bar that will allow for a more relaxed tasting environment where buyers can easily interact with producers and Nimbility’s team of experts.

Nimbility was founded in Hong Kong and Shanghai in early 2018 by three partners with 45+ years of experience building markets and brands within the global beverage industry.

China Market Conference
The Changing Landscape of the China Market: The Path Forward
Wednesday, October 23rd - 10 to 11.30am

Nimbility will host this year’s highly anticipated China Market Conference which will kick off with an overview of the fundamental changes taking place in the Mainland China wine market, presented by Nimbility’s Co-Founder and CEO Ian Ford. This will be followed by an in-depth panel discussion of the implications of these changes to producers and China wine professionals alike, and how to navigate the path forward. The panelists are all senior China experts from different segments of the wine world. The conference will conclude with an extended Q&A session for audience members to pose questions to the panel.
The overview of China will contain the following:
Data driven, China import statistics, explaining the changing of the guard from France to Australia, and the mid-year decline in 2019 bottled imports into China
The tectonic shift from sole importer models to multi importer/retail models, and how that works
New look retail: Next generation O2O, Hema, JD.com, Wechat Stores, facial recognition, and the future of “bricks and mortar”

2pm: APPASSIMENTO WINE STYLES FROM THE VENETO
An in-depth look at the varying styles of red wines from the Veneto presented by Mariano Buglioni owner of up and coming Valpolicella estate Buglioni. From the lighter, drier style of Valpolicella Classico Superiore, to the fuller bodied, richer examples of Ripasso and Amarone, and the delectably sweet Recioto, Mariano will walk guests through the full range of styles, focusing on key techniques used in the vineyard and winery to achieve these unique and iconic wines.
3pm: HOW TONIC CAN UNLOCK THE PERFECT SERVE
Featuring Black Tears Rum, Four Fox Saké and Lawrenny Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur in partnership with East Imperial Tonic, this session will demonstrate how a premium tonic water can unlock the potential of a perfect serve. Expect surprise and novel combinations that will prove the versatile nature of this fashionable mixer.

2pm: ICON REDS FROM AROUND THE WORLD
A chance to delve deeper into some of Nimbility’s most iconic and award-winning red wines from around the world featuring Viña Casa Silva’s Microterroir 2006 (presented by Viña Casa Silva’s Commercial Director Arnaud Frennet), Buglioni Teste Dure Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva 2010 (presented by owner of Buglioni Estate, Mariano Buglioni), Bodegas Verum Ulterior Graciano 2016 (presented by Juan Carlos Ramirez Zamorano Export Director of Bodegas Verum), Altos Las Hormigas Gualtallary 2016 and Willunga 100 The Tithing 2016 (presented by Nimbility Founding Partner and CMO Francesca Martin).
3pm: GIN IS IN! MEET THE NIMBILITY GIN PORTFOLIO
We believe there is a gin for every occasion! This session is a chance to discover the unique elements of our gin portfolio, carefully curated by our Spirits Director Micaela Piccolo. Featuring Lawrenny Van Dieman’s Gin from Tasmania, presented by Lawrenny owner Jensen Farley, Mayfield Sussex Hop Gin and Hawthorn’s London Dry Gin, these are gins that vary greatly in style and price point truly giving you a gin for every occasion!
4pm: HOMETOWN HEROES: HOW MODERN BRANDS ARE STORYTELLING WITH REGIONAL INGREDIENTS
Using local and regional ingredients is a trend that we are seeing globally. This session will highlight a number of our brands whose ingredients and/or production processes are intimately connected with the region from which they come. Featuring Black Tears Cuban Rum, presented by Brand Ambassador Din Hassan, Lawrenny Estate Tasmania, presented by owner Jensen Farley, XECO Sherry and Gre3n Coconut Water sourced from 100% organic Thai coconuts. Discover how intimately these brands are connected to the unique places from which they come.

2pm: PATAGONIA: A VIEW FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE ANDES
Verum by Verum Export Director Juan Carlos Ramirez Zamorano and Viña Casa Silva’s Commercial Director Arnaud Frennet will take you on a journey across the Andes, from Lago Ranco, Chile’s most southerly region, to Rio Negro, the most iconic sub-region of Argentinian Patagonia, exploring cool climate varieties, viticulture, winemaking and wine styles. Expect a wider discussion about the increasing impacts of climate change and how these wineries are tackling this reality.
3pm: MINDFUL MIXOLOGY: A CREATIVE APPROACH TO ‘LOW & NO’ DRINKING
Featuring a selection of Nimbility’s spirits and premium beverages including XECO, Four Fox Saké, Mayfield Gin Liqueurs, Gre3n Coconut Water and Highlite Sparkling Maté Tea, Nimbility Founding Partner and Co-Founder of XECO Sherry Polly Aylwin-Foster along with Nimbility Spirits Director Micaela Piccolo and Four Fox Saké’s Managing Director Michael Campion, this session will address the global trend of ‘Low and No’, its current impact in China and ways in which to innovate creatively within this increasingly relevant sector of the market.
