Wine Australia is set to host an exclusive After Hours Event each evening of Vinexpo at The Pawn in Wanchai, one of Hong Kong’s most iconic bars. Nimbility was engaged by Wine Australia to help them select a top Hong Kong venue for the 200+ Australian suppliers exhibiting at the show to wind down after a hard day’s work, and if necessary continue their meetings in a more relaxed environment over a glass of Aussie wine, beer or a carefully crafted cocktail.  

Just a ten-minute walk from the Expo Centre, The Pawn was selected for its convenient location as well as its buzzing atmosphere and legendary status as one of Hong Kong’s most iconic venues. Its outdoor balcony alcoves form the perfect setting for sundowners where guests will be able to choose from a completely bespoke drinks list specially curated for the 3-night event.

The all-Australian wine list will consist of one sparkling, three whites and four reds all offered by the glass and bottle, including Stonier Sparkling Chardonnay Pinot Noir 2015, Unico Zelo Jade and Jasper Fiano 2017, Murdoch Hill Chardonnay 2016 and Giant Steps Yarra Valley Pinot Noir 2015. If producers wish to bring in a bottle of their own wine they can do so with waived corkage on the proviso it is being used for business purposes.

Cocktails have been devised by The Pawn’s head mixologist Tunny Grattidge and will consist of a bespoke G&T menu featuring gins form Four Pillars - Rare Dry and Bloody Shiraz - and Applewood. Negronis will be made with Økar Amaro and Applewood Lemoncello and Espressocello will add extra punch to xyz. Australian beers will include Vale Larger and IPA.

Light snacks will also be on offer throughout the night and a DJ playing till late making this the perfect place to head for a few after-dinner drinks as well. This event is by invitation only. For more details, please contact info@nimbilityasia.com
