International Women's Day - Meet Our Nimbi-Ladies!

As well as all our amazing women-led brands, this International Women’s Day we wanted to take a moment to celebrate the incredible women who make up our small but mighty team of experts. Nimbility wouldn’t be what it is today without them!

Polly Aylwin-Foster

Polly is a Founding Partner of Nimbility and our Chief Revenue Officer. She manages our commercial team across APAC as well as taking the lead on all things finance and operational in Hong Kong HQ which makes her an integral driving force of the business. As an entrepreneurial and passionate business woman she also has her own Sherry brand, XECO, modernising this delicious drink and taking it to new levels! Weekends comprise plenty of family time with husband Nick and their 15 month old son Jack, often hiking on HK’s trails or boating with friends. As soon as holiday travel becomes an option she’ll be hitting up ski slopes around the world!

Francesca (Chess) Martin

Chess is a Founding Partner of Nimbility and our Chief Marketing Officer. Based in Singapore she oversees all brand building and activation for our diverse portfolio of brands, as well as managing Nimbility’s marketing and our Insight & Intelligence department. She is a self-professed wine ‘geek’ and passionate about creating a company culture at Nimbility where people can thrive. In her free time she’ll be found practicing yoga, meditating, reading or swimming and spending as much quality time as possible with husband Simon and daughter Acea.

Nichole Mao

Nichole is a Partner of Nimbility and our Sales and Marketing Director for North Asia, handling all things Mainland China and beyond! Nichole joined us after a long tenure as Villa Maria’s Export Manager for Greater China where she spent close to a decade learning the ins and outs of this complex market landscape, from importers to retailers to digital platforms and beyond. An expert taster she is passionate about wine, always on a mission to discover and taste new things. Married to Charles with two daughters, Constance 5, and Alienor 7, family time is a priority as well as cycling, yoga and getting out onto China’s most deserted hiking trails as often as she can!

Apolline Martin

Apolline is our Marketing Manager and has been with us longer than any other person in the business except the Founding Partners! She is the life and soul of the marketing team, highly efficient, organised and incredibly creative, always on the lookout for new, innovative ways to build our brands. Her spare time consists mainly of family time with her husband Maxime and 7 month old daughter Eleonore and when she has those rare moments to herself she’ll be found at a yoga class or having a much needed foot massage!

Candace Chen

Candace is our fabulous Shanghai Office Manager and EA to our CEO, Ian Ford. A lady who can handle anything that’s thrown at her, always on hand to help and an expert in dealing with complex issues in China such as logistics, trademarking and all manner of business registration, legal and compliance. A powerful negotiator with an eye for a bargain she always get us the best deals, be it on our office rent or items off Taobao! In her spare time she can be found walking her dog Long Long, cooking up a storm and spending quality time with her family!

Yan Li

Yan joined us permanently as our Shanghai Marketing and Events Executive after a number of years managing our digital platforms and social media in China. She’s our resident trend spotter (and setter!), always on the lookout for the newest, hippest bars and restaurants to get our brands into. As the youngest member of our team she keeps the dinosaurs amongst us in check and is our vital finger on the pulse when it comes to all things digital and trending in China. High octane and high energy if she’s not out and about town she’ll be found hitting up the gym!

Lucy d’Ambrumenil

Lucy is our Head of Operations joining the Nimbility team after a 10 year stint as a corporate lawyer therefore her attention to detail is second to none and perfect for tightening up all of Nimbility’s systems, processes and back office operations. Based in Hong Kong where she’s been living for over a decade, her next adventure with husband Max, 15 month old son Felix and baby number two on the way is to start a new Asia chapter in Singapore. She is a fitness fanatic but never one to shy away from a good party!
