Successful Nimbility South Korea Launch

Ian and Sarah from Nimbility Opening Speech

Last July 19, Nimbility Korea celebrated its first six months of business in style, by hosting a ‘Nimbilitivo’ launch party in Seoul with over 35 guests from the Korean Drinks Industry and Media joining the party – all staying throughout the event from 3pm to 6pm.

Co-hosted by Nimbility Founding Partner Ian Ford in his tour around our markets and offices, and Nimbility’s Head of Korea Sarah Soo-Kyung Henriet, and in partnership with Bacchus, Rare Wine Social Club, this intimate tasting event featured a selection of brands and products from Nimbility’s portfolio of premium wines and spirits including Maison Mirabeau, Journey’s End Brands, Heaven’s Door Whiskey, Sagamore Spirits, Trinity Hill, Terroir Al Limit, Greystone, Bertinga, Altos Las Hormigas, Viña Casa Silva and Klein Constantia.

Highlights included the presence of Christine Andrews, Export Director APAC for Journey’s End Brands who came to present a wide array of wines from South Africa to suit a multitude of occasions and price points, from Decanter Platinum Medal to alternative packaging wines.

Chrissy from Journey’s End

Chrissy had this to say about the event. “It was truly a fantastic opportunity to get in front of so many importers in one given time. The event was well organised and well executed. The customers were engaging and took their time to taste all the amazing wines on offer, from around the world. It was a delight to be part of Nimbilty’s first event in Korea.”

With that many brands sending samples, and dozens of importers and trade joining the objective, it was very much a matchmaking session that Sarah had in mind.

“It was wonderful to finally officially launch Niimbility in Korea!” Sarah Soo-Kung Henriet, Head of Korea for Nimbility says. “It was really great to present our brands that we proudly represent. It took a lot of work organizing the party but I was overwhelmed by the turnout: more than 35 people showed up ready to taste and learn about our brands and we’re already seeing promising leads – Cana Wines will be taking on innovative packaging solutions from When in Rome! I’m truly excited for Nimbility to continue growing its presence in Korea and to build strong partnerships in the market. Cheers to more to come!”

Ian Ford, Founding Partner of Nimbility had this to say: “Nimbilitivo Seoul was a roaring success for the new Nimbility Korea business, for our brands and for our many guests.  I met so many importers that were intrigued and excited about the prospect of building the market here together with us, led by Sarah. Since starting in 2018, we have steadily expanded our team, our producer partners, our expertise and our market reach. South Korea is a dynamic and innovative market and Nimbility is here and here to stay!”
