Australian Vintage engages Nimbility to optimize Asia

Australian Vintage has engaged Nimbility to develop business for a selection of their wine brands throughout Asia including McGuigan, Tempus Two, Nepenthe, Lemsecco Spritz, Chateau Marmalade and the soon to be released Poco Vino.

As the newly appointed export and brand management support team for Australian Vintage in the region, including China, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines and India, Nimbility is tasked initially with securing distribution, excluding brands with existing distribution partners. Once route-to-market is established Nimbility will focus on developing creative marketing activations that will stimulate interest and demand, building brand presence, visibility and reputation for the portfolio of brands.

“We are excited to be partnering with Nimbility on this project in Asia as they can offer us a level of expertise and on the ground presence that can really boost our own team’s efforts in the region,” says Tom Dussledorp, Chief Commercial Officer of Australian Vintage. “With the likes of first-of-its-kind Poco Vino launching globally later this year, we have recognised the need for the additional support that a company like Nimbility can offer to really get our brands in front of the right buyers in the region.”

Francesca Martin, Chief Marketing Officer of Nimbility had this to say: “Australian Vintage brands represent a new step for Nimbility in terms of working with innovative brands that are looking at the wine industry in a new light. The excitement and interest in cutting-edge brands such as Poco Vino, as well as trending areas such as Low & No where Australian Vintage is a category leader, is incredibly exciting to see and the Nimbility team is thrilled to have the chance to introduce these products to buyers in the region.”

With the return of Australian wine to the China market after the hiatus caused by tariffs, Australian Vintage’s unique innovation position is a strong angle to be able to open up new and relevant conversations with buyers who are now looking at a very different China market landscape compared to a few years ago.
